Rajasthan is where all the country's similes and metaphors appear to have come together. A flambuoyant showcase of Rajasthani architecture, the pink city of Jaipur, is counted among the prime tourist attractions of the state. Do not forget to visit the city of Pushkar, famous for its Camel Fair, the largest camel fair in the world. Squeeze in a visit to the Meherangarh Fort and palaces of Jodhpur and breathtakingly beautiful havelis of Jaisalmer and Shekhawati famous for it's mouthwatering 'bhujiyas' is the city of Bikaner and for its royal splendour are the cities of Chittaurgarh, Bikaner and Ajmer.

Not to be missed is the exquisite lake palaces of Udaipur. Known as the only bona-fide hill station of the state, Mount Abu is the best summer resort and merits a visit.
